This 12 week course will set you up for your home educating journey through practical, inspiring webinars and weekly meets.

Ongoing support and connection will be established through an exclusive community that you will join on registration. The difference between this group and others is that you will all know each other from the course work and it is a group that is specifically created to support you as the educator. Its privacy and ethos is there to encourage questions and sharing of ideas, concerns and solutions.

Home educating isn’t always a bed of roses and can feel very isolating at times. It is our vision that we connect people, instill some confidence and create a space for authentic learning and teaching through respectful discussion and compassionate response.

Topics to be covered will include:

Getting clear on your values and reasons for what you do
literacy and numeracy for all ages and stages
how to support your neurodiverse and/or unique learner
Learning through play
intergrating your learning experiences
Using technology as a learning tool and keeping safe
Learning in Nature - connecting with Science
Working with the needs of my child - looking at learning differences

Nikki Zanchi

With 25 years dedicated to homeschooling her five children, all of whom have flourished into successful young adults, Nikki brings a wealth of wisdom and insight to the table.

Nikki's unique background includes extensive world travels with her family, providing them with unparalleled experiences that enrich her approach to teaching. Recently returning to the classroom as a long-term reliever, Nikki's conviction in her educational choices has only strengthened.

Beyond her teaching prowess, Nikki offers invaluable insights gained from navigating the homeschooling landscape for years. She has been actively supporting home educators for several years, leveraging her counseling and life coaching expertise to empower families on their educational journey.

Calli Veludos

Calli has been an educator for over 30 years, more than half of which she has been advocating for, and working with, some of our most vulnerable young people in learning support. She has worked from early childhood to secondary, with an enormous range of students, socio-economic situations and cultural circumstances.

Her passion for education and young people has lead her down a few paths to try and affect much needed changes within the present system; all to no avail. Hence her decision to leave and create something different outside the system.

She advocates for home education as a viable alternative and potential model on which to base systemic change, and is passionate about supporting the community.

Calli is the remaining opportaional director of The Ark Education NZ.

She's so excited to be able to present this new course with Nikki.

For our international community, we realise that time-zones may be an issue. We have therefore decided to offer a recordings option for those who will struggle to come on live. You will still have access to all other learning and support material and groups. Pricing as below:
